NOTICE OF CLOSEOUT PUBLIC HEARING FOR MICHIGAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING FOR THE ELM STREET INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT The Village of Calumet will conduct a closeout public hearing on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 6:30 PM at the Village of Calumet, 340 Sixth Street, Calumet, MI 49913 for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to submit comments and receive a final report on the completion of the Elm Street Infrastructure project CDBG grant (MSC 217042-FRZ). The CDBG grant provided $1,455,575.57 toward replacement of drinking water, sanitary and storm sewer, and street infrastructure in several downtown blocks, along with administrative costs. An additional $144,580.87 in project funding was provided by the Village of Calumet. The CDBG project benefitted at least 51% low to moderate income persons; zero persons were displaced as a result of the project. Interested parties are invited to comment on the project in person at the public hearing or in writing through Tuesday, March 15, 2022 and addressed to Amber Goodman, Village Manager, 340 Sixth Street, Calumet, MI 49913. ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF CALUMET REFERENDUM - Ordinance for the Appointment of Village Treasurer No. 158 Calumet Township-Village of Calumet-Appointment of Village Treasurer-Village of Calumet voters only On Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 during the Special Election the Voters of the Village of Calumet will have the opportunity to decide the following question: "Shall Ordinance Number 158 of the Village of Calumet providing that the village treasurer shall be chosen by nomination by the village president and appointment by a majority vote of the village council be approved as authorized by Section 1(3), Chapter II of the General Law Village Act (1895, PA 3, as amended)?"
