Water by Upper Michigan Water Company: To connect or disconnect water service, contact the local Upper Michigan Water Company office: 311 5th St, Calumet, MI 49913 or call them at (906) 337-3502.
Internet: Internet access is available from multiple providers. Cable and DSL service is readily available within the Village limits. If you are interested in fiber optic service, Charter Spectrum will accommodate you! The following providers are happy to meet your communications needs. Trash and Recycling: Trash pick-up is handled by private contractors. Please contact one of the following service providers to set-up service for your business or residence. Residential service: BUKEMA, INC. (906) 337-4931; Commercial service WASTE MANAGEMENT (800) 963-4776.
Parking: On street parking in the Village of Calumet is free. Overnight parking on the streets is not allowed November 1 - April 30. Winter Parking permits are available for the 4th Street parking lot, at Agassiz Park for $25/month. Permits may be purchased from the Village office.
Snow Removal: The Village Department of Public Works (DPW) removes snow from streets all winter long. They begin plowing as early as 2am. Please be courteous of plow drivers. The DPW removes snow from the sidewalks in the business district and has commercial contracts available for business parking lots. There are private contractors for hire for snow removal for residents in the residential district. It is against state law to place snow in the roadways. Residents who do not have space to put snow on their property are advised to contract with a private contractor to haul the snow away. Please call the DPW at 906-337-1720 with any questions or issues related to snow removal.
