BYOB Spring Clean Up (Bring Your Own Bag)
The Village of Calumet and Calumet Township encourage residents to come out Saturday, May 30th to help make your community look better! While we can’t yet host our annual Spring Clean Up BBQ due to Covid-19 related restrictions we can still pick-up our town. We will be handing out bags for volunteers to use to pick up trash on Saturday, May 30th from 9-11am at Agassiz Park. Once you’ve picked up you can leave full bags next to either the Township Fire Hall or at the end of the alleys in the Village of Calumet. The map provided shows areas that are usually in need of some extra work and X’s show where you can leave full bags. If you’d rather rake then pick up trash that’d be great! Agassiz Park, Calumet Theater Park and the adjacent Greenspace on 6th Street all could use help. Leaves can be raked into piles, which the Street’s Department will clean up later. Please note this is not an opportunity to bring personal trash from your home but rather an opportunity to participate as citizens in cleaning up our communal spaces. NOTICE
