Request for Abandonment – Portion of 9th Street Notice is hereby given that the Village of Calumet will hold a public hearing on October 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. to receive public input regarding a proposal to abandon a portion of 9th Street adjacent to the Calumet Train Depot.
This hearing is exploratory in nature, intended to gather initial feedback from residents, property owners, and other interested parties. Description of Request & Affected Property The abandonment request involves the portion of 9th Street adjoining the Calumet Train Depot property. The notice is intended to apply to all street addresses, parcels, and structures within or contiguous to the subject area. How to Comment Written comments prior to the hearing may be submitted to the Village Council at: Village of Calumet 340 6th Street Calumet, MI 49913 Or email to the Village Manager, [email protected]. All written comments must be received before 6:00 p.m. on October 21, 2025 to be included in the hearing record.
