Steering Committee Members 

The following individuals were selected by the organizations they represent to serve on the Calumet Greenspace Improvement Steering Committee. 

This group will provide recommendations about the future of the greenspace to the Village of Calumet Downtown Development Authority Board. This group will be responsible for hosting public input meetings, planning and fundraising for this project.

​COMMITTEE TASKS
  • Host community participation events to encourage public participation in the creation of a Sach’s Greenspace Plan including a project design and estimates.  
  • Develop and recommend a funding and maintenance plan for the Sach’s Greenspace Plan.
  • Recommend approval of grant applications, partnerships and volunteer activities for the maintenance and implementation of the Sach’s Greenspace Plan.
  • Organize fundraising. As it is anticipated that implementation of the Sach’s Greenspace Plan will use a crowdfunding mechanism, the Steering Committee will also be tasked with developing a crowdfunding campaign.
  • All decisions regarding the use of this space should be made in accordance with guidance provided by the Village of Calumet Master Plan.
