VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – SERVE YOUR COMMUNITY!
The Village of Calumet is seeking residents interested in serving on two important local boards: Village Council One vacant seat is available to complete a term ending in November 2026. Planning Commission One vacant seat is available to complete a term ending in December 2026. Serving on a board or commission is a great way to get involved in your community and help shape the future of Calumet. We encourage residents with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and interests to apply. Note, you must be a Village of Calumet resident for either of these roles. The Village of Calumet will have a dumpster available at the DPW Shop beginning Wednesday, June 3 for residents who would like to help clean up their properties and remove blight-related debris. ✅ Village of Calumet residents only 📍 DPW Shop 🕗 DPW staff will be available to assist Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Items generally accepted include: • Household junk • Non-hazardous construction debris • Small amounts of renovation materials 🚫 Please do NOT place the following items in the dumpster: • Paints, stains, solvents, or other liquids • Tires • Batteries • Electronics (TVs, computers, etc.) • Propane tanks • Gasoline, oil, antifreeze, or automotive fluids • Hazardous chemicals, pesticides, or fertilizers • Asbestos-containing materials • Appliances containing refrigerants (such as refrigerators or freezers) If you are unsure whether an item can be accepted, please check with Village staff before bringing it.
